Stacker is a fun little game with a lot of potential! The premise is simple, and simple works. I like it. – Marty Rabens
Tell Me More About the Background and Development!
The first version of Stacker was created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 12, a game development contest. The theme was “The Tower” You can still play the original submission of Stacker here. In October of 2010, one of the Ludum Dare hosts, PoV, made an October Challenge. The goal was to polish up an unfinished game and offer it for sale. Stacker was released on October 31st. I worked very hard, but it still has a long way to go. Buying the game now is more like a pre-order, because I plan to make a lot of improvements in the next few months. There are still 6 unfinshied levels I’d like to complete, and I’d like to add some sound effects, music and maybe even hire an artist to replace all my programmer art.
So… come on! How do I play!?!
Nope, after purchase you’ll get a file you can download, unzip and play. No internet connection required. No key to forget. No root kit to hakzor you hard drive to death. Just a game you can play, when, where and how you like, forever.
